Story
A family of ranchers in Montana are faced with others encroaching on their land. Forrie J. Smith, who plays Lloyd, is a seasoned rodeo veteran. John Dutton (Kevin Costner) often seems to “forget” his Montana accent and reverts to the SoCal speaking voice he normally uses. I don’t believe anyone does westerns better than Kevin Costner, and since Taylor Sheridan writes, it’s a win-win for the audience. Check out “Wind River” for an example of what Taylor Sheridan can do. Where’s Cole Hauser? He’s amazing. I think the daughter is a necessary part, but he’s above the point of being a scoundrel. The scenery is fantastic, and being from Colorado, I can really appreciate the vast beautiful landscape. Do yourself a favor and get into this series because it’s going to be a winner.
